Buenos Aires was her home up until the time she reached age 6 when the family relocated in Victoria within London. Taylor Joy states that the move was extremely stressful. She was not willing to learn English and hoped she could move back to Argentina. Her school had to change to Northlands to Hill House. Then she went to Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and was a part in shows. When she dropped out of school at the age of 16, Taylor-Joy pursued a full-time acting career. Taylor-Joy was a child actress who knew she would become one. Her dreams were realized after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a job as a model.
